The SPATIUM M480 PLAY is an M.2 2280 internal drive built with a dual-finish aluminum heatsink that meets PlayStation 5 expansion requirements. It uses 3D NAND flash and a PHISON E18 controller to deliver 2 TB of storage for games and applications. The slim profile fits the console slot without modification.
PCIe 4.0 x4 interface limits
The drive connects through a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 link, so sequential throughput cannot exceed the bandwidth of that standard. Maximum read reaches 7000 MBps and write reaches 6800 MBps only when the host platform provides a full Gen4 connection. Older slots will reduce those speeds to their own ceiling.
