24V 120W switching power supply

This myVolts switching power supply delivers a regulated 24V DC output at up to 5A for a total of 120W. It accepts a universal AC input range of 100 to 240V, making it suitable for global use. The unit is built for industrial automation, LED displays, CCTV systems, radio equipment, computer engineering, LED light bars and 3D printers. Its aluminium alloy housing aids heat dissipation without active cooling.

Upgrade from lower-wattage 24V units

The S-120-24 replaces smaller 24V supplies such as 48W or 60W models when the connected load exceeds their current capability. The step up is worth it when a single 24V rail must drive multiple LED strips, a larger CCTV array or a 3D printer heated bed without hitting the previous unit's current limit. Built-in short-circuit, overload and overvoltage protection reduces the risk of damage to downstream equipment during faults.

5A continuous headroom for typical loads

At 5A continuous output the supply comfortably runs several metres of 24V LED tape, a mid-size CCTV camera cluster or a standard 3D printer bed heater with margin for start-up surges. The 100% full-load burn-in test confirms stable operation at the rated 120W. Headroom diminishes when ambient temperatures approach the 40°C upper limit or when the load draws near 5A for extended periods, at which point thermal derating or a higher-power unit becomes necessary.
