This NEMIX RAM module provides 32 GB of DDR5 5600 ECC unbuffered memory in a single 288-pin UDIMM. It is built for the Lenovo ThinkSystem ST45 V3 tower server and runs at 1.1 V with CL46 latency. The 2Rx8 organisation uses major OEM DRAM from Samsung, Micron or Hynix. No heat spreader is fitted.

Upgrading from lower-capacity

Installing this 32 GB stick replaces smaller DDR5 ECC UDIMMs to increase total system memory. The jump is worthwhile when workloads such as virtualisation, databases or large datasets exceed the current capacity. It also suits configurations that require ECC protection but cannot use registered DIMMs because the platform only supports unbuffered modules.

DDR5 platform limits for unbuffered ECC

DDR5 unbuffered ECC UDIMMs rely on the memory controller to drive each rank directly, so signal integrity becomes the limiting factor at higher capacities or speeds. The 5600 MT/s rating is the standard JEDEC speed for this generation; running faster requires platform support that the ThinkSystem ST45 V3 may not provide. Maximum usable memory per channel and total system capacity are defined by the server's processor and BIOS, not by the module itself.
