USB 3.0 host link limits total throughput to 5 Gbps
Every bay connects through one USB 3.0 port, so the combined read and write speed of all five drives cannot exceed the 5 Gbps bus. If your workflow needs sustained multi-drive bandwidth beyond that ceiling, this enclosure will not meet the requirement.
60 mm double-ball bearing fan vents through
Active airflow keeps drives cool during long backup or media-serving sessions. The fan runs whenever the unit is powered, and the enclosure enters an auto-sleep mode after ten minutes of inactivity to reduce noise and power draw. Four LEDs show individual drive status at a glance.
