ECC Registered DDR3 for ThinkStation workstations

This 16 GB kit contains two 8 GB DDR3 1600 CL11 registered DIMMs built for Lenovo ThinkStation C30, D30 and S30 systems. The modules operate at 1.5 V and use a 240-pin form factor with 1Rx4 organisation. ECC and register circuitry provide the error correction and signal integrity required by workstation and server platforms.

Registered buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller, allowing stable operation across all populated slots during long compute runs. ECC detection and correction runs continuously without pausing the data path, so multi-hour rendering or database workloads maintain data integrity. The CL11 latency and 1600 MT/s rate deliver consistent throughput under continuous load rather than only in short bursts.

DDR3 1600 interface limits for registered modules

The PC3-12800 standard caps transfer rate at 1600 MT/s, so this kit cannot exceed that bandwidth regardless of motherboard capability. Registered DIMMs must not be mixed with unbuffered memory, and the platform must support ECC registered operation or the modules will not function. This kit replaces Lenovo part 03X4325 and is not compatible with standard desktop computers.
