Server Memory Upgrade Kit

This kit supplies 16 GB of DDR3L ECC registered memory in two 8 GB modules. It is built for Dell PowerVault DX6104, DX6112 SN, NX3200 and NX3300 storage systems that require registered DIMMs. Standard desktop computers cannot use this memory type. Mixing it with unbuffered modules will prevent the system from booting.

DDR3L 1600 Registered Limits

The modules run at 1.35 V with a CAS latency of CL11 and a single-rank 1Rx4 organisation. Registered DIMMs add a clock cycle of buffering, so the memory controller must support registered operation. The DDR3L 1600 standard caps transfer rates at 1600 MT/s, and the 240-pin form factor fits only sockets wired for DDR3 or DDR3L registered memory.
