This OWC memory kit delivers 1 TB of DDR4 ECC Load-Reduced DIMMs in eight 128 GB modules. It is built for Dell PowerEdge R740, R740XD, R940 and T640 servers that require registered ECC memory. Standard desktop boards cannot use these modules, and they must not be mixed with unbuffered or standard registered DIMMs.

Capacity and headroom

The 1 TB total capacity lets you run large virtualisation clusters, in-memory databases or heavy analytics workloads without swapping. Each module operates at DDR4 2933 (PC4-23400) with CL21 latency and 1.2 V. The kit also runs at 2666, 2400 and 2133 MHz when the platform demands lower speeds.
