64GB DDR3L ECC Registered kit

This 64GB kit contains four 16GB DDR3L 1600 PC3L-12800 CL11 registered DIMMs built to 1.35V JEDEC specifications. The 240-pin modules carry ECC and a 2Rx4 organisation for error-correcting server workloads. They are validated for HP ProLiant DL360e Gen8, DL360p Gen8, DL380p Gen8, DL385p Gen8 and DL580 Gen8 systems.

Suited for Gen8 ProLiant upgrades.

Administrators extending the service life of the listed Gen8 rackmount servers will find a direct replacement for HP part numbers such as 713985B21 and 684316181. Builders of standard desktop PCs or consumer workstations cannot use registered ECC DIMMs, and the modules cannot be mixed with unbuffered memory in any platform.

Registered ECC with 2Rx4 organisation

The registered buffer and on-die ECC are the single specification that decides compatibility; only systems designed for registered DDR3L ECC RDIMMs will accept this kit. Attempting installation in an unbuffered-only motherboard will result in a no-post condition.
