High-Capacity DDR4 Server Kit

This RIMLANCE kit provides 128 GB of DDR4 server memory in a matched pair of 64 GB LRDIMMs. It is built for administrators who need large memory pools for virtualization, databases or other memory-intensive workloads. The modules are new and use a 288-pin registered form factor with ECC.

DDR4 3200 Interface Limits

The modules run at DDR4 3200 (PC4-25600) with a CAS latency of 22 and operate at 1.2 V. Performance is bound by the DDR4 standard and the memory controller in the host server; speeds above 3200 MT/s are not supported by these DIMMs. Mixing with modules of different speeds, ranks or voltages will force the system to run at the lowest common settings.

4Rx4 LRDIMM Rank Configuration

Each 64 GB module uses a 4Rx4 load-reduced organisation that reduces electrical load on the server memory bus. This rank structure is the decisive factor for compatibility — only platforms qualified for 4Rx4 LRDIMMs at this density will recognise the full capacity. Servers limited to lower rank counts or standard RDIMMs cannot use this kit.
