Dual 1000 W titanium-efficiency power supplies share the load and keep the system running if one unit fails. 12-bay SAS/SATA limit and 8-port RAID constraint

Twelve 3.5-inch hot-plug bays accept SAS or SATA drives but the installed MegaRAID 9361-8i connects only eight ports directly. The quad-port Intel X540 10GBase-T adapter delivers 10 GbE over copper RJ45; maximum link distance follows the 10GBase-T standard.
