Dual Xeon E5-2697 v4 2U server

This 2U rackmount server ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2697 v4 processors running at 2.3 GHz with 18 cores each. It includes 256 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across eight 32 GB modules. Twelve hot-swap 3.5-inch drive bays accept SATA or SAS drives. The system targets virtualization hosts, database clusters and cloud workloads that need dual-socket density in a short rack depth.

Sustained load with redundant titanium power

Two 1000 W titanium-efficiency power supplies share the load and provide full redundancy for continuous operation. The LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with 1 GB cache and battery backup. Quad 10GBase-T ports on the Intel X540 controller deliver consistent throughput for storage replication and VM migration. IPMI 2.0 with KVM-over-LAN allows remote monitoring and power control without physical access.

Rail mounting and drive tray handling

Front bezel and rack rails are not included, so compatible sliding rails must be sourced separately for the 2U chassis. The twelve drive trays install tool-free but require 3.5-inch drives; 2.5-inch SSDs need adapters not supplied. Memory population follows a 24-slot DDR4 layout; the installed 256 GB uses eight slots leaving room for expansion up to 1.5 TB. GPU options are limited to the onboard Matrox G200 with 8 MB video memory.
