The Synology RS422+ delivers a ready-to-run 4-bay storage server in a 44 mm high chassis that fits 2-post or wall-mount racks. It ships fully assembled and tested with four 4 TB Synology Enterprise drives installed, giving 16 TB of raw capacity out of the box. An AMD Ryzen processor and 2 GB of memory power the DiskStation Manager operating system for file sharing, synchronization and backup tasks.
16 TB raw capacity with dual 1GbE links
Four enterprise-class 4 TB drives provide 16 TB of storage headroom for documents, virtual machines and media libraries. Two RJ-45 ports support link aggregation and failover, so throughput scales to roughly 2 Gbps and stays online if one cable or switch port fails. A single USB 3.2 Gen 1 port adds direct-attached backup or peripheral expansion without using a drive bay.
