It ships fully assembled and tested with four 20TB Synology Plus drives providing 80TB raw capacity plus 800GB of enterprise cache. Four integrated 1GbE ports support link aggregation and failover for reliable business storage in remote or edge locations.
Verify rack space, network and expansion needs
Confirm you have a standard 19-inch rack with at least 1U of vertical space and a depth that accommodates the 492.6 mm chassis. Ensure your switch or router can provide up to four 1GbE connections for the onboard ports. If you anticipate adding 10GbE or 25GbE networking, M.2 SSD caching or both, reserve the single PCIe Gen3 slot and check Synology compatibility lists for supported adapter cards. An optional RX426 expansion unit can later double bay count to eight.
