What this camera does

The Ubiquiti G5 Turret Ultra is a 2K resolution turret network camera designed for outdoor surveillance. It captures 4MP video at 2688 x 1512 pixels with a 16:9 aspect ratio at 30 frames per second. A fixed focal lens provides an ultra-wide 102.4 degree horizontal viewing angle. The camera is powered and connected via a single PoE RJ45 cable.

Sustained load behaviour

The camera draws a maximum of 4 watts across a supported voltage range of 37 to 57 volts DC using Power over Ethernet. An integrated smart detector continuously analyses the video stream for people, animals and vehicles to trigger AI event detections. Infrared night vision illuminates subjects up to 30 metres or 98 feet in darkness. A built-in microphone records audio alongside the video feed.

Build and daily use

The ultra-compact body measures 90 by 71.2 millimetres (3.5 by 2.8 inches) and is rated tamper-resistant and weatherproof for exposed outdoor mounting. A micro SD card slot allows local storage of recordings. Pan and tilt adjustment ranges are 102.4 degrees horizontally, 54.9 degrees vertically and 120.6 degrees diagonally for precise aiming during installation.
