Write Speed Limits for Each Supported Format

Maximum write speeds are fixed by the drive hardware: 24x for DVD-R and DVD+R, 12x for dual-layer DVD-R and DVD+R, 6x for DVD-RW, 8x for DVD+RW, 32x for CD-RW and 48x for CD-R. The duplicator cannot exceed these rates regardless of media brand or host system performance. Discs written at higher certified speeds will still be limited to the unit's maximums.
