Mac-ready 6TB portable drive
The Western Digital My Passport for Mac ships formatted for macOS 11 and later, so it works with Time Machine straight out of the box. A downloadable HFS+ driver adds read-write support on Windows 10 and newer without reformatting. The 6TB capacity stores large photo, video and document libraries in a single device.
Sustained transfer over USB 3.2 Gen 1
The drive connects through a SuperSpeed USB 3.2 Gen 1 port and remains compatible with USB 2.0 hosts. Real-world throughput stays within the 5 Gbps link budget during long copy jobs, so backups complete at the interface limit rather than throttling after a short burst. 256-bit hardware encryption runs on the controller without slowing the data path.
Slim metal enclosure with dual-cable kit
The midnight-blue chassis measures 0.46 by 2.95 by 4.22 inches and weighs 0.46 lb, fitting easily in a laptop bag. A USB-A cable and a USB-A to USB-C adapter are included, letting you plug into either port style without buying extra dongles.
