This 460W server power supply replaces the D460AM-02 unit in Dell XPS 8100, 8300, 8500 and 8700 desktop computers. It matches the original spare part numbers DGX9R, 6GPR9, WY7XX, HMCPC, 6GXM0 and 7YC7C for a direct swap. The unit is new and rated at 460W to meet the chassis power budget.

Proprietary form factor limits

The supply uses a Dell-specific mechanical and electrical layout that fits only the listed XPS models. It will not install in standard ATX cases or in other Dell lines without an adapter that is not included. Builders planning a chassis move or a dual-PSU configuration cannot use this unit.

Simple swap with cable routing care

Installation requires removing the side panel, unplugging the mainboard and drive connectors, then sliding the old unit out and the new one in.
