The Syba SD-PEX30009 adds two 1394B ports and one 1394A port through a single PCI Express x1 slot. It supports transfer rates of 800, 400, 200 and 100 Mbps for mass video and audio data tasks. The card fits any desktop with an open PCIe lane and works with Windows 98SE through Vista and Mac OS.

Low-profile and standard brackets included

The box supplies both a standard PCI-Express bracket and a low-profile bracket so the card fits full-height or slim cases. A driver CD and printed manual are provided for systems that need manual installation. The internal 1394A header shares bandwidth with the external 1394A port.

Texas Instruments chipset drives the ports

The controller uses a Texas Instruments chipset compliant with IEEE 1394b-2002 and OHCI 1.1 and 1.2 draft specifications.
