This drive fits read-heavy applications such as backup targets, archiving tiers, analytics read pools and hyperscale object stores where 1.3 DWPD covers the duty cycle. It is not a fit for workloads that demand higher write endurance, such as heavy database redo logs, write-ahead journals or continuous high-rate ingest pipelines that would exceed the rated DWPD.
Standard 2.5in SATA installation, align partitions
The 2.5in SATA form factor drops into any compatible drive bay or hot-swap tray using standard SATA data and power cables. Ensure the operating system aligns partitions to 4 KiB boundaries and enable AHCI or the appropriate RAID mode in firmware.
