No drives or trays ship with the unit, so buyers must source compatible SAS or SATA media and caddies before the server can store data. A DVD-ROM drive is present for legacy media installs.

Rack-ready chassis with iDRAC8 remote management

The 2U form factor mounts in standard four-post racks using an optional rail kit that is not supplied, and the front bezel is also absent.
