It accepts one Intel Xeon Scalable processor and up to 512GB of DDR5 memory across eight slots. No CPU, memory or drives are installed, so integrators configure the exact compute and storage mix each site requires.

Bundled security foundation

Cryptographically signed firmware, Secure Boot, Secure Erase and a Silicon Root of Trust are embedded in the platform, while Secured Component Verification checks hardware integrity at every boot. Data-at-rest encryption works with self-encrypting drives using local or external key management, and System Lockdown activates when iDRAC9 Enterprise or Datacenter is licensed. TPM 2.0 meets FIPS, CC-TCG and China NationZ certifications out of the box.

Pre-deployment checklist

Verify that your rack provides 2U height and at least 17.06 inches of depth for the 3.27 x 7.27 x 17.06 inch chassis. Select a single Xeon Scalable processor, DDR5 RDIMMs up to the 512GB limit and 2.5 inch SATA or SAS drives for the two internal bays. Plan power and cooling for up to three full-height half-length PCIe accelerators, and confirm operating-system licensing separately as none is included.
