The 8SFF airflow design moves air front-to-rear across the CPU heatsinks and memory modules under typical datacentre conditions. Acoustic output is managed by fan curves that respond to inlet temperature and component utilisation.

The chassis supports up to eight 2.5-inch SAS drives served by the Smart Array P440 controller with RAID capability.
