PCIe x4 dual USB-C adapter
This PCIe x4 expansion card adds two USB-C ports that operate at up to 10 Gbps using the ASMedia ASM3142 controller. It fits x4, x8 or x16 slots and ships with both full-height and low-profile brackets. A SATA 15-pin power connector is provided for devices that need extra current. The card does not work in a PCIe x1 slot.
Sustained throughput with ASM3142
The ASM3142 chipset maintains 10 Gbps signalling across both ports during long transfers rather than peaking only in short bursts. The onboard SATA power input feeds downstream devices directly, preventing voltage droop when multiple high-draw peripherals are connected. This architecture keeps bandwidth stable for external SSD arrays or docking stations under continuous load.
Upgrade from single-port or slower USB
Builders moving from a single USB-C port or from 5 Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 1 gain a second 10 Gbps channel and dedicated auxiliary power. The step up is worthwhile when external storage, capture devices or multi-bay enclosures saturate a lone port. Systems without a free x4 or wider slot cannot use this card.

Frågor om den här produkten
How much power does the ASM3142 card draw when both USB-C ports run at 10 Gbps all day?
The card has no published thermal or power figures; it relies on the PCIe slot and an optional SATA 15PIN connector for extra current.
Do I need a spare SATA power cable from my PSU to use both ports at full speed?
The board includes a SATA 15PIN backup interface; connect it if your PCIe slot cannot supply enough current for two 10 Gbps devices.
Will this work in an older motherboard that only has PCIe x1 slots?
The card requires a PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slot and explicitly does not support PCIe x1 slots.
