This PCIe x4 expansion card adds two USB-C ports that operate at up to 10 Gbps using the ASMedia ASM3142 controller. It fits x4, x8 or x16 slots and ships with both full-height and low-profile brackets. A SATA 15-pin power connector is provided for devices that need extra current. The card does not work in a PCIe x1 slot.
Sustained throughput with ASM3142
The ASM3142 chipset maintains 10 Gbps signalling across both ports during long transfers rather than peaking only in short bursts.
