Product Identity

The Phanteks Evolv X2 Matrix is a mid-tower ATX chassis finished in grey-white with a steel frame, fabric side panels and a tempered glass window. It targets builders who want a visible interior and a built-in 900 LED matrix display behind the fabric for system stats or custom animations. The case accepts ATX, micro-ATX, mini-ITX and E-ATX boards up to 280 mm wide and supports rear-connect motherboards for a cleaner cable layout.

Capacity and Headroom

Two 3.5-inch drive bays are available, dropping to one if both 2.5-inch SSD mounts are used; five 2.5-inch bays are provided, reducing to three when two hard drives are fitted. Graphics cards up to 380 mm long and CPU coolers up to 170 mm tall fit comfortably, while the power supply cavity accepts units up to 250 mm deep. A 360 mm radiator can be mounted in the top position, and the vertical cooling layout uses three 120 mm bottom intake fans, three 120 mm top exhaust fans and one rear 120 mm exhaust fan.

Deciding Specification

The integrated 900 LED matrix screen hidden behind the fabric panel is the feature that distinguishes this chassis from standard Evolv X2 models; it enables on-case visualisation of temperatures, utilisation or custom graphics without additional controllers or external displays. If that real-time display is not required, the same airflow structure and motherboard support exist in less expensive variants.
