Industrial 4U rackmount with integrated LCD

This 4U rackmount server chassis integrates an 8.9-inch LCD touchscreen with a 1024 by 600 resolution and a slim notebook keyboard with touchpad. It is built for industrial control, IoT and machine automation environments where a compact, self-contained monitoring station is required. The aluminium alloy and 1.2mm SGCC steel construction fits a standard 19-inch rack.

Motherboard and drive constraints

The chassis accepts motherboards up to 12 by 13 inches and provides seven PCI expansion slots. Storage is limited to two front hot-plug 3.5-inch bays that also accept 2.5-inch drives, one internal 3.5-inch or two 2.5-inch positions, and a single ultra-thin 5.25-inch optical drive bay. A two-disk SATA backplane handles the front bays.

Build details and daily implications

Two 80mm front fans and two 60mm rear fans provide airflow through the 550mm deep enclosure. Front access includes two USB 2.0 ports, power and reset switches, plus power and HDD LEDs.
