External UHD Blu-ray reader
The Corn Electronics drive connects through USB 3.0 and uses a tray-loading mechanism. Its CNC aluminium body houses a Super-Multi optical unit that reads 4K UHD discs and reads or writes standard Blu-ray, DVD and CD media with appropriate software. M-DISC BD-R recording is supported for long-term archival storage. Mac owners can only handle regular Blu-ray, DVD and CD content because no suitable UHD playback software exists for macOS.
Sustained operation
The aluminium chassis acts as a passive heatsink during long read or write sessions, keeping the mechanism stable without active cooling. Tray loading reduces vibration compared with slot-load designs, so repeated burns stay consistent. Firmware must remain at the factory version; unofficial downgrades can permanently disable UHD reading capability.
UHD playback requirement
Playing 4K UHD Blu-ray titles demands a Windows PC that passes the CyberLink Ultra HD Blu-ray Advisor test and a purchased copy of PowerDVD, as this is the only reliable playback path the supplier identifies. The drive itself cannot burn 4K Blu-ray discs, only read them.

คำถามเกี่ยวกับสินค้านี้
How much power does the USB 3.0 interface draw during long burns?
The drive uses the standard USB 3.0 high-speed interface for both data and power, so it runs from a single port without an external adapter.
Which port or cable does the drive need on my computer to operate?
It requires a USB 3.0 Type-A port and the included USB 3.0 cable; no extra drivers are needed on Windows or macOS.
Will the tray-load mechanism work reliably with older BD-R discs I already own?
Yes, the tray-loading drive reads and writes existing BD-R, BD-RE, DVD±R, DVD±RW, CD-R and CD-RW media.
