Dual-socket blade for dense compute

The Dell PowerEdge M640 is a half-height blade server carrying two Intel Xeon Gold 6150 processors. Each CPU provides 18 cores at 2.7 GHz with a 3.7 GHz turbo frequency. The system ships with 512 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 16 slots, leaving room to reach the 1.5 TB platform limit. Two 1.92 TB SATA SSDs are installed behind the PERC H330 controller.

Fits MX and M1000e chassis

This blade mounts inside a PowerEdge MX or M1000e enclosure, drawing power, cooling and fabric connectivity from the shared mid-plane. The on-board Broadcom 57810S-K daughter card adds dual 10 Gb network ports without consuming a separate mezzanine slot. Because the blade occupies only a single half-height bay, the chassis retains capacity for additional compute or storage sleds. No operating system is pre-installed, so the hypervisor or OS can be chosen freely.

iDRAC9 Enterprise and PERC H330 included

The integrated iDRAC9 Enterprise licence enables full remote management, virtual console and lifecycle automation without an extra subscription. The PERC H330 mini mono controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and 50 across SATA or SAS drives, letting the two installed SSDs be mirrored or striped immediately. Front bezel and ready rails are not supplied, so rack mounting hardware must be sourced separately.
