This configuration targets virtualization, database hosting, and software-defined storage workloads.

Upgrade From Single-Socket Systems

Moving from a single-processor platform doubles the core count to 28 total cores and expands the memory ceiling to 1TB across 16 DDR4 slots. The jump is worthwhile when consolidation ratios demand more simultaneous threads or when memory capacity per host becomes the limiting factor for virtual machines.
