The Precision 5530 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built around an 8th Gen Intel six-core i7-8850H processor. It carries 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. A dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P1000 with 4 GB of GDDR5 video memory handles professional graphics workloads. The system ships with Windows 10 Pro installed.

The 3840 x 2160 IPS touch panel covers 72 percent colour gamut and is framed by narrow InfinityEdge bezels.
