The Dell PowerEdge T350 is a 5U rack server built around a single Intel E-2388G processor with eight cores running at 3.2 GHz. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory across four 8 GB modules and includes iDRAC9 Enterprise for remote management. This system targets small businesses and branch offices that need an on-premise platform for virtualisation, file services or lightweight database workloads.

Storage capacity and headroom

Two 2.4 TB 10K SAS drives are installed on an H755 RAID controller, providing a fast mirrored or striped volume for the operating system and active data. The chassis holds up to eight 3.5-inch drive bays, so six additional bays remain open for capacity expansion when datasets grow. Performance will scale with added spindles, but the current two-drive configuration limits sustained write throughput and total raw space.

PCIe generation and slot mix

The server offers two PCIe Gen 4.0 slots and two Gen 3.0 slots for add-in cards such as network adapters, GPU accelerators or additional storage controllers. Gen 4.0 lanes deliver double the per-lane bandwidth of Gen 3.0, so high-throughput cards should occupy the faster slots. Buyers who need more than four expansion cards or require newer Gen 5.0 interfaces cannot be accommodated by this platform.
