The Dell VXRail E560 10B is a 1U rackmount system built for business workloads such as virtualization, databases, file storage, backups and application hosting. Two Intel Xeon Gold 6150 processors deliver a combined 36 cores and 72 threads at 2.70GHz base frequency. 512GB of DDR4 ECC Registered memory supports multiple concurrent virtual machines and data-heavy services. Eight hot-swap 1.2TB 10K RPM SAS drives provide high-speed storage capacity for operating systems, applications and business data.

36-core Xeon Gold 6150 configuration

The single specification that decides fit is the dual-processor layout: two Gold 6150 CPUs, each with 18 cores, populate both available sockets on the LGA3647 platform. This yields 36 total cores and 72 threads at 2.70GHz, with no further processor expansion possible. Buyers who need higher per-core frequency, more than two sockets, or a different core-count balance should evaluate alternative platforms.

H740P RAID and 10GbE networking included

The bundled PERC H740P hardware RAID controller simplifies storage setup and daily management of the eight SAS drives. Dual 10GbE X540 ports plus dual 1GbE I350 ports supply high-throughput networking for virtualization traffic, replication and client access without extra adapters. The chassis provides ten 2.5-inch bays with eight populated, leaving two bays open for future storage expansion. No operating system is included.
