The EliteBook 650 G9 is a 15.6 inch business laptop running Windows 11 Pro on a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U processor with ten cores and twelve threads. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 128 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD provide the baseline capacity for office workloads. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 IPS anti-glare panel at 250 nits brightness.

Sustained workload behaviour

The deca-core CPU reaches 4.70 GHz with Turbo Boost, yet the slim chassis relies on a 65 W adapter, so prolonged multi-threaded tasks will throttle once thermal limits are reached. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 maintain stable wireless links during long video calls, while the vPro platform and HP Sure Start firmware protection operate continuously in the background without user intervention.

Chassis, ports and daily docking

A silver aluminium unibody houses three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one Thunderbolt 4 USB-C with Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, RJ-45 Ethernet and a universal audio jack. The single USB-C carries charging, video and data, letting the notebook serve as a one-cable dock. The 128 GB drive is user-replaceable via the M.2 slot, but the 16 GB memory is soldered, limiting future upgrades.
