Blade server for virtualised workloads

The HPE BL460c G10 fits a standard c-Class enclosure and delivers two Xeon Silver 4208 processors at 2.1 GHz with eight cores each. One hundred twenty-eight gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory fills the maximum capacity, so the system is ready for dense virtualisation or database tasks without further upgrades. It is not suited for buyers who need GPU acceleration or more than two internal drives.

Hot-plug drive bays and integrated management

Two 2.5-inch SATA bays accept the installed 4 TB hard drives and connect through the Smart Array P204i-b SR controller for hardware RAID. The FlexFabric 20 Gb two-port adapter provides converged networking, while iLO Advanced gives remote console, power control and firmware updates over a dedicated management port. Builders who require additional PCIe expansion or fibre-channel connectivity must use the enclosure interconnects.

Firmware-current platform

Every unit ships with BIOS and firmware updated to the latest stable release after full diagnostics and burn-in testing. The server includes the Smart Array controller and FlexFabric adapter already installed; rail kits are available on request for rack mounting. Customers who need different drive capacities, memory layouts or additional mezzanine cards should request a custom build before ordering.
