The Kingston A400 480GB is a 2.5-inch 7mm SATA III internal solid-state drive built with 3D TLC NAND and a Phison S11 controller. It targets desktop PCs, notebooks and all-in-one systems that need a straightforward storage refresh. The drive delivers up to 500MB/s sequential read and 450MB/s sequential write with 160TBW rated endurance.

SATA III 6Gbps interface with backward compatibility

The drive uses a standard SATA 7-pin data plus 15-pin power connector and works with SATA 3.0, 2.0 and 1.0 ports. It fits any 2.5-inch bay or caddy and requires no extra drivers for plug-and-play operation. Low typical power draw of 0.3W idle and 1.5W active frees thermal headroom in compact chassis.

Sustained 500MB/s read and 450MB/s write under load

Sequential throughput holds at the rated 500MB/s read and 450MB/s write during extended transfers rather than only in short bursts. Random performance reaches up to 90,000 IOPS read and 35,000 IOPS write at 4KB. LDPC error correction and 1500G shock resistance keep data stable during prolonged mobile use.
