The ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 ships with an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor that runs at 2.40 GHz and boosts to 4.2 GHz across four cores. Forty gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB PCIe SSD give it the headroom to run virtual machines, large spreadsheets and container workloads without swapping. Integrated Iris Xe graphics handles external displays and light media tasks, but it is not suited for 3D rendering or modern gaming.

Capacity and headroom

The 1 TB PCIe SSD stores operating system images, project archives and local databases with room to spare for most business users. Memory is soldered and non-upgradable, so the 40 GB ceiling is fixed; workloads that regularly exceed this will hit swap and lose responsiveness. Iris Xe shares system memory, so heavy graphical multitasking reduces the buffer available for compute tasks.
