The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 is a new 14.0" business laptop equipped with an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, 48GB of DDR4 memory and a 500GB PCIe SSD. It ships with a dual-boot configuration offering Windows 10 Pro and Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon, selectable at startup. The 1920 x 1080 IPS display and 720p webcam support daily office work and video calls.

48GB DDR4 memory capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 48GB DDR4 SO-DIMM configuration, which is soldered and not user-upgradable. Buyers who need more memory for large virtual machines or heavy data-science workloads cannot expand beyond this limit. The four-core processor reaches 4.2 GHz turbo, and Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics drive the Full HD panel without discrete GPU overhead.

Thunderbolt 4 and legacy ports

Two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports handle power, display and high-speed data, while two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports keep older peripherals working. A full-size HDMI output, RJ-45 Ethernet jack and microSD reader cover external monitors, wired networks and card offloads. The 65W adapter charges the integrated 50WHr battery inside the 3.23lb chassis measuring 12.9 x 8.9 x 0.70 inches.
