Teensy 4.0 Audio Shield Rev D
The MCDODO 4 Audio Shield Rev D is an add-on board built for the Teensy 4.0 development platform. It provides stereo headphone and line-level output alongside stereo line-level or mono microphone input. A 3.5 mm audio jack and micro-SD card slot are fitted, with optional pads for a 25k potentiometer and flash memory chip. The shield requires a separate Teensy 4.0 board to operate.
Seven-signal audio interface
Audio data travels between the shield and the Teensy 4.0 over seven dedicated signals. This connection enables simultaneous input and output operation for real-time processing. The Rev D revision is compatible only with Teensy 4.x boards and will not function with earlier Teensy models. An audio library is available to simplify software development.
Stereo I/O with on-board storage
The board comfortably handles stereo playback and recording tasks using the integrated audio codec. Audio files can be stored directly on a micro-SD card inserted into the on-board slot. Headroom is limited to the two-channel analogue paths provided; applications needing multi-channel surround or additional analogue inputs cannot be met by this shield.

คำถามเกี่ยวกับสินค้านี้
Should I choose the Rev D shield for a Teensy 4.0 or an earlier board?
Rev D is compatible with Teensy 4x only, so you need a Teensy 4.0 for this shield to work.
What does the 7-signal connection mean for audio performance?
The audio chip connects to the Teensy using 7 signals, enabling simultaneous stereo input and output for real-time processing.
How does the 3.5 mm jack and micro-SD slot affect the audio workflow?
The 3.5 mm jack handles headphone or line output, while the micro-SD slot stores audio files for playback without extra hardware.
