Not for desktops or unbuffered configurations

Buyers who need memory for standard desktop PCs cannot use this registered ECC module, as it is electrically incompatible with consumer platforms. Builders who require unbuffered DIMMs or non-ECC memory for workstation boards should look at a different product line. Mixing this module with unbuffered memory is also not supported.

Sustained reliability under server workloads

The registered design places a register between the DRAM and the memory controller, reducing electrical load during continuous operation.
