Server-grade ECC LRDIMM kit

This OWC kit delivers 512GB of DDR4 ECC Load Reduced memory in four 128GB modules. It is built for Supermicro X11 server and workstation motherboards that require registered LRDIMM technology. The modules operate at 1.2V and carry JEDEC and RoHS compliance. Standard desktop systems cannot use this memory type.

512GB capacity with four ranks

Each 128GB module uses a 4Rx4 organisation, giving dense capacity per slot for virtualisation, large databases or in-memory analytics. The CL21 latency at 2933 MT/s provides predictable throughput for sustained workloads. Systems limited to lower memory speeds will still accept the kit through backward compatibility. Builders needing unbuffered or standard registered DIMMs must choose a different product.

DDR4 2933 interface limits

The PC4-23400 rating sets the peak transfer rate for this generation. The kit also runs at 2133, 2400 and 2666 MT/s when the platform requires it. Mixing these LRDIMMs with unbuffered or standard registered modules is not supported. Buyers whose boards lack LRDIMM support cannot use this upgrade.
