Rugged 14-inch laptop for field work

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-54 is a semi-rugged 14-inch laptop built to MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 standards. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5-5300U processor at 2.3 GHz with 16 GB of memory and a 2 TB SSD. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 drives the 1366 x 768 non-touch display. The chassis includes a DVD drive, GPS receiver, smartcard reader, fingerprint reader and a digitizer pen.

Check your workflow before ordering

This unit ships with Windows 10 Pro and memory is fixed at the 16 GB maximum. The display is a non-touch HD panel at 1366 x 768 resolution. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.1. Verify that your required applications run on this operating system and that the screen resolution meets your software needs. The DVD drive reads optical media but does not write discs.

Thermals, noise and power in normal use

The low-power i5-5300U processor and integrated graphics keep heat output modest during typical office and field tasks. Fan noise stays low under light loads such as document editing or web browsing. The included power adapter supplies the unit for standard operation. Rugged sealing to IP65 does not impede normal thermal performance.
