32GB microSDHC Class 4 Card

The SanDisk microSDHC card adds 32GB of removable storage to smartphones, tablets and other devices with a microSDHC slot. It is rated Class 4 for a minimum sustained write speed of 4MB/s. The card supports recording of 720p HD video on compatible mobile devices. It is built to withstand shock, water, X-rays and temperatures from -13 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit.

Upgrading from smaller or slower cards

Replacing a lower-capacity card lets you store more photos, music and video without managing space as often. Moving up from a Class 2 card gives a higher guaranteed write floor for smoother 720p capture. The jump is worthwhile when your device only supports the microSDHC standard and cannot use larger microSDXC cards.

Limits of the microSDHC interface

The microSDHC format caps capacity at 32GB, so this card reaches the maximum size the standard allows. Class 4 guarantees only a 4MB/s minimum sequential write, which is insufficient for full HD or 4K recording. Devices limited to the microSDHC protocol cannot address cards larger than 32GB regardless of speed rating.
