Blade Steel and Lock Limits

The 8Cr13MoV blade offers good edge retention and corrosion resistance for general slicing tasks, but it is not a premium powder steel and will dull faster under heavy abrasive use. The Reeve Integral Lock uses a stainless steel interface that resists wear, yet the lock geometry still requires a clean pivot area; grit or lint can degrade smooth one-handed opening if maintenance is neglected.

Titanium Handle and Carry Implications

The anodised blue titanium scales are precision-machined with interior recesses to save weight while keeping rigidity, so the knife feels substantial without being heavy in the pocket.
