The APC Smart-UPS X SMX3000RMLV2U is a 3000 VA / 2700 W line-interactive UPS that delivers pure sine-wave output at 120 V. It fits 2U rackmount cabinets or stands as a tower, making it suitable for server rooms, network closets and edge sites that need uninterrupted power for critical servers, security and communications gear.

Extended-run capability with external packs

The unit accepts optional SMX120BP battery packs to lengthen runtime during prolonged outages. A rail kit is included for rack installation. Management software and a Smart-Slot interface card slot enable remote monitoring and automated shutdown. Seven output receptacles — three 5-15R, three 5-20R and one L5-30R — support mixed plug types without adapters.

Rack or tower setup in minutes

Mount the supplied rails, slide the chassis in and secure it, or place the unit upright on a stable surface. The NEMA L5-30P input requires a matching 30 A branch circuit and receptacle; verify site wiring before connecting. Replaceable battery cartridge APCRBC117 swaps from the front in about three hours recharge time. Alarms signal on-battery and low-battery states with configurable delays.
