The 1U2E-X570 is a 1U rackmount barebone built around the AMD X570 chipset and AM4 socket. It targets small-business and edge deployments that need a compact server chassis with integrated compute and storage flexibility. No CPU or memory is installed, so the builder chooses the exact Ryzen 5000, 4000 or 3000 series processor and DDR4 capacity for the workload. Dual Intel i210 1 Gigabit ports and a dedicated IPMI LAN handle management and data traffic.

Two hot-swap bays plus M.2 and fixed 3.5 inch

The chassis provides two front-access hot-swap 2.5 inch bays that accept SATA or NVMe drives, allowing drive changes without downtime. One fixed 3.5 inch SATA bay or an optional slim optical drive adds bulk storage or media install capability. Two M.2 M-key slots — one wired to the CPU at PCIe 4.0 x4 and one to the chipset — support 22110, 2280, 2260 and 2242 form factors for fast boot or cache devices. A single 315W power supply powers the entire assembly.

128GB DDR4 ceiling and Ryzen generation limits

Four 288-pin DDR4 slots support up to 128GB total, with ECC capability dependent on the chosen CPU. Third-generation Ryzen processors run memory at up to 3200 MHz, while second-generation APUs top out at 2666 MHz. The single 315W unit and 1U height constrain thermal headroom, so high-core-count CPUs may throttle under sustained load. Builders needing more than two hot-swap drives, 10 Gigabit networking or GPU acceleration must look beyond this platform.
