The CyberPower OR500LCDRM1U is a 1U line-interactive UPS rated at 500VA and 300W. It supplies simulated sine-wave output to department servers, workgroup servers, workstations and telecom equipment that do not use active PFC power supplies. Automatic Voltage Regulation corrects minor fluctuations without draining the battery.

Fits a standard rack and connects via USB or serial

The unit mounts in a single rack unit and presents six NEMA 5-15R outlets: four with battery-backed surge protection and two with surge-only protection. A DB9 serial port and a USB 4-pin port link to the included PowerPanel management software. An RJ11/45 combo jack protects one inbound and one outbound data line.

Replaces basic surge strips for short runtime needs

At 40W load the battery runs for 60 minutes, at 150W for 12 minutes and at 300W for 3 minutes. The 1030-joule surge rating and AVR defend against sags, blackouts and dataline surges. Buyers needing extended runtime for heavier loads or pure sine-wave output for active PFC supplies should look elsewhere.
