The Dell PowerEdge R740 is a 2-socket, 2U rackmount system equipped with two Intel Xeon Silver 4110 processors running at 2.1 GHz with eight cores each. It ships with 768 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 24 slots and eight 400 GB SATA solid-state drives managed by a PERC H730P hardware RAID controller with 2 GB cache. Dual 750 W redundant power supplies, iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management, quad-port networking with two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports, plus rails and bezel complete the package.
