The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a new 5U tower server that can also be rack-mounted with a conversion kit. Two Intel Xeon Gold 5118 processors provide 24 cores running at 2.3 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 256 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory installed across eight 32 GB modules, leaving eight of the sixteen slots open for expansion up to 1 TB.

Sixteen hot-swap bays with PERC H330 controller

Sixteen 2.5-inch drive trays support SAS, SATA and SSD media for flexible storage configurations. The Dell PERC H330 12 Gb/s controller handles RAID duties without consuming a PCIe slot. Dual integrated Gigabit Ethernet ports and iDRAC 9 Express remote management are onboard, leaving the PCI Express slots free for additional networking, GPU or storage cards.

Redundant 750 W platinum power supplies

Two hot-swap 750 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver full redundancy for continuous operation.
