The HighPoint RocketRAID 2720A connects up to eight internal SATA or SAS drives through two SFF-8087 mini-SAS ports. It installs in a PCI-Express 2.0 x8 slot and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and JBOD modes. The card is designed for workstation and small-business server storage arrays.

A low-profile bracket is supplied so the controller fits slim chassis without modification. The quick installation guide covers hardware fitting and initial driver setup for Windows, Linux and macOS. No additional cables or software media are bundled in the package.

Compact board with two native SATA 6.0Gb/s

The board measures 0.06 by 3.79 by 2.56 inches and carries two native SATA 6.0Gb/s connectors alongside the mini-SAS ports. This layout allows direct attachment of up to two drives without breakout cables while the mini-SAS ports handle the remaining six.
