SAS drive-bay and controller limits

Eight 2.5-inch SAS bays accept up to eight drives, though only two 1TB 7.2K SAS drives are installed. The Smart HBA H240ar controller provides 12Gb SAS and 6Gb SATA connectivity with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, but the backplane caps each installed drive at 6Gbps. Additional bays or a universal media bay are optional and not included.

Memory ceiling fixed at 96GB

The system arrives with all 24 DIMM slots populated to reach the 96GB maximum supported by this single-processor configuration. Expanding beyond 96GB requires installing the second Xeon processor, which is not present. Buyers who need more memory must source a compatible second CPU and additional DDR4 registered modules.
